Her contributions extend beyond fashion into the realms of art and culture, where she has worked with Delhi Art Gallery, Experimenter Art Gallery, and Crossword Bookstore in Kolkata. In the food and beverage sector, she has been associated with Mamamia, Astor Hotel, and ITC Fortune Select, showcasing her ability to adapt and thrive across diverse industries. Currently, she channels her entrepreneurial spirit into Mrittika Earthy Talks (MET), a venture that reflects her commitment to sustainability and social impact.

Academically, Somini has a strong foundation with a Diploma in History from Ashoka University, training at Clarion College of Communication under Ram Ray (1996), a Bachelor of Arts from Jadavpur University (1995), and schooling at Modern High School for Girls (Batch of 1992).
