Priyanka Sud is the Founder and Managing Partner of Priyanka Sud & Associates, established in 2001. She oversees the firm’s overall strategy and operations, guiding its steady expansion into a well-recognized multidisciplinary legal practice. Enrolled with the Punjab and Haryana Bar Council in September 2001, she brings over two decades of extensive experience before the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, the District Courts of Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula, as well as various quasi-judicial bodies in Chandigarh.

Over the past 21+ years, Ms. Sud has successfully handled a wide spectrum of matters, including Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Service, and Corporate law. Her practice also encompasses the Information Technology (Cyber) Act, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, Matrimonial and Family Laws, Domestic Violence Act, Senior Citizens Act, Intellectual Property Rights, Industrial and Labour Laws, Trade and Commercial disputes, Financial and Banking matters, Consumer Protection cases, and NRI-related issues.

She is a trusted consultant in POSH compliance, matrimonial disputes, foreclosure, bankruptcy, corporate advisory, and RERA matters. Ms. Sud has represented corporate managements, institutions, and individuals across diverse industries and is widely respected for her meticulous preparation, strong cross-examination skills, and her ability to counsel clients with clarity on strategy, risks, and probable outcomes. In matters involving guilty pleas, she is particularly commended for her skillful mitigation strategies aimed at achieving proportionate and, where possible, non-custodial outcomes.

Ms. Sud currently serves on the legal panels of several prestigious institutions, including the Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (PUNSUP), Punjab State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (MARKFED), and the Regional Centre for Biotechnology under the auspices of UNESCO, for matters before the Punjab and Haryana High Court. She is also on the panel of the Armed Forces Tribunal at Chandimandir, representing the Union of India, and serves on the Advisory Board of Prasanchetas Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of girls, women, children, and youth.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Sud holds several leadership and governance roles. She is a National Executive Committee Member of the Indian National Association of Legal Professionals (INALP) and an Executive Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Chandigarh Chapter. She currently serves as the Punjab State Chair for India Mentoring & Motivation under the auspices of the All Ladies League (G100) and previously chaired The Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Chandigarh Chapter during 2020–2021. She has also served as Senior Panel Counsel for the Union of India before the Punjab and Haryana High Court and as President of the Indian Lawyers Association (ILA), Chandigarh Chapter (2019–2020).

A sought-after speaker and thought leader, Ms. Sud has addressed national and international forums on issues of law, gender equality, and social justice. She spoke on “Shaping Our Future Together: Women and Girls – Closing the Gender Gap” at the APSWDP UN-75 platform affiliated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications, and on World Women’s Equality Day 2020 delivered a talk on “Re-defining Women Equality.” She has also been a keynote speaker at professional legal forums, including sessions on the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and its amendments.

Deeply committed to legal education and social awareness, Ms. Sud regularly conducts legal awareness sessions in schools, serves as a judge for moot court competitions at leading law schools, and mentors law students by guiding them on diverse career pathways after completing their LL.B.
