Dr. Karen Lorena Brugés Solórzano is a global humanitarian tech leader who works at the intersection of technology, equity, and human development to design ecosystems capable of accelerating solutions for a Hunger-Free World.

With more than 20 years of professional experience—including 11 years in the corporate sector and 8 years in the Oil & Gas industry—she has led high-impact programs in social responsibility, community development, and multi-stakeholder collaboration across Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Chile, and the United States.

As President of the Women Economic Forum California, Global Chair of the G100 Zero Hunger Mission, and Global Outreach & Engagement Leader at The HungreeApp, she builds alliances that connect governments, private sector, NGOs, universities, and communities to drive scalable humanitarian innovation.

She is also the Founder & CEO of Mujeres Violeta® and Mi Partner, where she has created platforms such as Violeta Film Fest, MujeresVioleta.TV, and Academia Violeta, integrating storytelling, education, and technology to reduce social gaps and amplify female leadership globally.

Karen has been recognized with international awards including Women of the Decade (WEF London 2023), Leader of Excellence (India 2021), and Social Work of the Year (UK 2021). She has spoken at platforms such as the Paris Peace Forum, Harvard Faculty Club, and the United Nations, sharing her vision on humanitarian technology, global cooperation, and conscious leadership.
