Vishantini Tangavaloo is a passionate R&D Engineer and intrapreneur with over a decade of experience in polymer science across the oil & gas and renewable energy sectors. Her work sits at the intersection of advanced materials research and real-world industrial impact, with a strong focus on supporting the energy transition and ESG-driven innovation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from UTP and a Master’s in Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering from UKM.
Currently, Vishantini is engaged in developing advanced materials that accelerate the journey toward Net Zero, including shape memory polymers for sustainable applications. Her contributions have led to successful commercialization outcomes, notably receiving the Spotlight on New Technology Award at Oil & Gas Asia 2020 during her tenure at Synergy Engineering. Her core strengths include research strategy, new product development, intellectual property creation, and translating scientific concepts into scalable solutions.
Beyond the laboratory, Vishantini is an accomplished corporate emcee, panel moderator, and technical speaker, regularly engaging diverse audiences at conferences, symposiums, and leadership forums. She is also the host of The Innovators Minutes @ T.I.M.E. podcast, where she explores innovation journeys—from idea pitching to commercialization, and now energy transition and ESG pathways. A Professional Technologist (MBOT) and HRDF-certified trainer, she actively facilitates workshops and webinars, empowering startups, corporates, and students to innovate with purpose and impact.
