He is a Professor Emeritus at the National Technical University of Athens, widely recognized for his distinguished academic and scientific contributions. His work has significantly advanced research, innovation, and technical excellence within the field.

He served as the Chief Scientific Supervisor for the rehabilitation of the Holy Aedicule of the Holy Sepulcher, leading one of the most important restoration projects of global cultural and religious heritage. His scientific guidance was instrumental in preserving the monument’s historical integrity.

In addition to his academic and scientific roles, he is a Member of the Executive Committee of the Technical Chamber of Greece and a Member of the Governing Council of the University of Ioannina, contributing his expertise to national technical policy, governance, and higher education development.
