Suranjana is a dynamic and multi-faceted leader with more than two decades of experience across FMCG marketing, broadcast media, and behavior change communications. She has driven high-impact strategies for some of the world’s most recognized brands, including L’Oréal and Kellogg’s, where she played a key role in shaping consumer engagement and brand growth. Her expertise extends deeply into media leadership through significant roles at BBC World News and CNBC-TV18, where she worked at the intersection of content, communication, and audience influence.
Currently, Suranjana serves as the Head of the Marico Innovation Foundation, where she is leading efforts to scale innovative Indian start-ups—particularly those creating transformative solutions in the climate impact and sustainability space. Her work focuses on strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem by empowering early-stage ventures with strategic guidance, capability building, and ecosystem partnerships that enable long-term growth and national impact.
A cancer survivor and amputee, Suranjana is a powerful advocate for disability rights, accessibility, and workplace inclusivity. Her lived experiences fuel her commitment to reshaping organizational mindsets and fostering equitable environments where individuals of all abilities can thrive. Through her leadership, advocacy, and resilience, she continues to inspire communities and institutions to champion diversity, empathy, and purpose-driven progress.
