Mai Salama is a visionary leader with over two decades of experience in marketing, advertising & ecosystem building. A champion of the MENA region’s creative economy, she has pioneered initiatives that redefine industry standards, empower talent & drive innovation.

Early Passion, Lasting Impact
Mai’s fascination with storytelling & communication began in childhood, shaping her future in marketing & media. She started her career as a dubbing director at Media Concepts, lending her voice to Disney cartoons. Later, she contributed to Cleo (later Enigma), Egypt’s first English-language lifestyle magazine, refining her expertise in publishing.

Pioneering Leadership in the Creative Sector
Mai built her marketing career at top agencies like Lintas, Grey & Bates before playing a pivotal role in Synergy Advertising’s rise. In 2014, she co-founded The Worx, launching the Creative Industry Summit (C-S)—a groundbreaking platform that unites creatives, brands, and thought leaders. Today, C-S drives MENA’s global creative positioning, offering an interactive space for collaboration and trendsetting for the creative economy.

Championing Excellence in MENA
Mai represents Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in Egypt, bridging global & local talent. Also brought the Women Economic Forum (WEF) to Egypt, fostering female leadership. In 2019, she co-founded Nu Digital Awards, celebrating digital excellence across MENA.
